The result was a list of ten outstanding shopping cities that are home to everything from world-famous department stores and malls to unique independent boutiques and renowned flea markets.

Travelers to NYC often come for the shopping alone, with Fifth Avenue a shopper’s paradise complete with luxe department store displays. If you’re on a budget, the East Village is a treasure trove of vintage shops and Brooklyn is famous for its boutique thrift and flea markets.
Los Angeles
Despite the stereotypes, LA is actually an outstanding place to shop, from the high-end designer stores on Rodeo Drive to upscale boutiques in West Hollywood and downtown’s Union Square. Then, of course, there are the flashy Vegas malls, like Via Bellagio Promenade, where you’ll find all the latest designer brands for a day (or two) of retail bliss.
Other top shopping cities include Houston, with a plethora of trendy, locally designed boutiques, and Dallas, which has the nation’s largest mall, the massive Mall of America. Even Orlando, where Disney World has become synonymous with the word “bucket list,” is a must-visit destination for shoppers because of its variety of premium and discount stores, plus its many outdoor and open-air malls.
